On first seeing signs for York it is best to use the park & ride. There are four car parks: Askham Bar white line/Grimston Bar yellow line/ Rawcliffe Bar green line/ Designer Outlet red line, to transport you quickly and cheaply into the city centre. Buses run every 10 minutes from 7.00am - 8.00pm daily except Sunday.

GNER run services to York daily from both Edinburgh and London.
Arriva run frequent services across the Pennines.
Tesserae is 10 minutes walk from Station and there is a taxi rank and bus stops just outside the station entrance.

The bus that runs closest to Tesserae is the Green Line which stops by the Museum gardens.

On reaching the city centre Tesserae can be reached either by:

Crossing the river at Lendal Bridge and walking past York Minster via St Williams College to Goodramgate.
From Piccadilly through Fossgate, Colliergate and then onto Goodramgate
From Micklegate via Bridge Street, Market Street and onto Goodramgate
